Jamaican born singer/songwriter Pauline Henry has enjoyed a captivating career in the music industry for over three decades. Her unique vocal talents came to light as a backing singer supporting bands such as Duran Duran and The Rolling Stones. Developing her craft she soon went on to take the stage in her own right as lead singer fronting various bands performing in the UK and across Europe.
Henry's mainstream career accelerated as a result of working with Scottish Producers & multi-instrumentalists Mike Peden & James Locke. After hearing a tape of Henry's voice played over the telephone, they arranged to meet, initially intending for Henry to record and perform songs they had already written. Upon time the group soon evolved into a musical partnership where Pauline Henry was invited to contribute in the songwriting as well creatively conceptualizing into the shaping of the band which became known as The Chimes, who went to sign with Sony/CBS Records. They released their first song “LOVE SO TENDER”. The single was a critical hit thanks largely to Henry's expressive but controlled voice.
