Chicago's native son has been in the House industry for 30+ years. Beginning his career in his grade school classroom, playing and blending on 2 1980's Boom Boxes to actually doing his High School events.
Living on Chicago's South Side, Ron faced many life challenges, but stayed focused on his dreams by using Music as a way of gaining respect and popularity with his peers.
As time moved forward, Ron opened his own neighborhood night spot, called: The Bangin'Enterprise. This was the basement area of a friend's house, which became a favourite in the area for 2 years. Hosting some of Chicago's legends: Lil Louis, Gene Hunt and more.
From this, Ron's love for creating House Music grew. Linking up with legends, such as: Steve Poindexter, Mike Dunn, Byron Stingily, Maurice Joshua, E Smoove, Hula, Ron Trent to position himself as a Singer/Songwriter alongside his friend: Big Ed. From this spawned more connections with: Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Frankie Knuckles, MK, Kerri Chandler, Mousse T and others.
Ron became known for his vocal performances on tracks and this turned into major hit collaborations, with: Superfunk “Lucky Star” - Hardsoul “Back Together” working alongside major labels, such as: Virgin (Universal), Defected and Spinnin' Records.
Ron then began to open up his gift as a DJ to the world. Already known in his hometown of Chicago, Ron then was given opportunities to play at major venues and festivals around the world: Pacha (Ibiza), Amnesia (Ibiza), Space (Ibiza), Festivals in Holland, Ministry of Sound (UK), Tours in Australia - Brazil - Greece and Asia. Ron became a household name in the industry.
Fast Forward!! Ron continues to build and move everyday in the Industry, working with top labels, artists and producers. Creating his own labels: Electric Disco - Afro Disco & FCK Fame. Producing his own events in the US and just received a Proclamation from the City of Chicago, calling June 27th RON CARROLL DAY!!
